Don’t forget Dan is going to have a Blogging seminar today at 2pm in the third floor Lounge. See everyone there!

We have a group going to see SpiderMan 3 at Lincoln Square on Saturday, May 5th at the 9:15 PM show. So far we have 7 in the group. I’m going to get tickets this afternoon – Thursday – so comment quick if you want me to pick up tickets for you.

My wife and I joined another couple from here at 989 Elements for dinner at the King and I Thai food restaurant (Google Map Link). We went on our friends recommendation as they love Thai and have tried just about every option within walking distance.

I thought the food was just fine. They give you a choice of 1-5 on how spicy you want your food. I like mine pretty darn spicy and went with a 4. That put some hot in my mouth so next time I’ll go with 3.

The place is pretty small and we found the service to be good. Our waiter was in training and did a fine job.

From reading other reviews I noticed that they add a 15% gratuity to your bill if you’re in a party of 4 or more. I don’t think I noticed that so I probably tipped them twice. So watch out for that. I personally think they should make it clear that they already tipped themselves.

Dan, Anthony and myself will be gathering in the 3rd floor lobby from 2pm onwards for some well mannered frivolity involving the X360 games console, we’ll be messing about with all the usual games (most likely Halo 2).

If you’re interested in taking part or joining in, bring down your X360 if you have one, and a tv if you can, Halo 2 ownership is a must, but you’re also welcome to just take a spectators spot, or if you managed to prize a controller from our fingers long enough take part.

We’re planning on making this a regular thing so look forward to this being a big thing during the fall when summer is leaving us..

Thanks!

Thanks to everyone who joined us last night to celebrate the birthdays of Jenny, Jill and Eileen (missing a J there so you’re now official Jilleen). Many many thanks to those who bought up food and drink with them, and thanks for clearing and tidying afterwards. I think everybody had a good time, and happy birthday again to the girls..

If you’re a fan of 24 you’ll love this.  Also, if you are a fictional terrorist then you definitely want to see this so that you’ll know when to avoid crossing paths with Jack Bauer.

Chuck Norris facts. This is a hilarious read, even if you don’t watch the show.

Tomorrow night there will be an informal social gathering on the 27th floor observation deck to celebrate the birthdays of our darling concierge Jenny, the ever enigmatic Jill and my visiting oiiirish friend Eileen.

This will be from 7pm – 10pm, those of you who need key fob help to get up to the 27th floor, gather on the 3rd floor and we’ll make sure somebody is lurking with keys to assist! Everybody is encouraged to bring something food wise to share, and also drink!

Halo 3 is out this Fall. Are you ready for it? Sundays, lounge, football on the TV, Halo 3 tournaments, billiards, cookin’ on the grill. That’s what I’m talkin ’bout!

This is the way the world ends. This commercial was shot with the working prototype of the Halo 3 graphics engine. You have to see this in HiDef to appreciate the details. Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy I can’t wait.

Do you think we’ll ever meet them?
