Here are a few useful tips for those of you who are new new to the 989 Elements blog:
This blog is here for residents to communicate with each other. Post anything you feel would be appropriate. Here are a few suggestions for topics to write about (Note: when you write a post there is an option on the left-side to pick what category you would like your post to appear in.)
Common topics:
- Events you would like to invite other residents to. Suppose you’re going to a movie, or for a hike, anything that you would like to open to the other residents. Post it on the blog here as a way to share that invitation.
- Restaurant reviews – especially for locations in the downtown Bellevue area.
- Random humor – you saw something funny on the web someplace. Share it here with your fellow residents.
- For sale items – do you have something you would like to get rid of?
You are free to comment without registering but to write your own post you will have to sign up for an account with WordPress.org. Once you do that you you need to let the site administrator know your WordPress username – see below.
If you would like to contact the administrator of this site you can either leave a message with the concierge downstairs or the building’s administrative staff in the office. You can also email me. I have an email account with Google (gmail.com) and my username is DanFlorio ( address obscured for spam protection).
Never write your email address in a post. Spam bots will pick it up and start sending you spam emails. You can see what I did above to obscure my email address. It’s a pain but necessary in todays spam ridden world. This does not apply to the email address field in the comments section. That does not get posted to the page but is available to registered users who can edit posts and comments.
